Greenday and friends return for two special shows

Green Day return to Australia after their shows in March this year. Speculation as to when the band would return has been rampant ever since, and so finally the months of conjecture are over with Green Day returning this December for two special stadium shows at Sydney's Cricket Ground and Melbourne's Telstra Dome.

Joining Green Day for their Australian tour dates are special guests Jimmy Eat World and My Chemical Romance, ensuring these are the year's biggest shows in not only size but also stature.

Promoter Michael Gudinski today confirmed the tour dates and stressed that there are definitely only two concerts.

" Unfortunately there isn't enough room in the band's schedule to do a multi-city tour this time. But this is stadium rock on a scale Australia hasn't seen for some time and I'm sure many Green Day fans will be prepared to fly to Sydney or Melbourne to see something so special."

With 15 semis carrying over 300 tons of equipment and staging, Australian Green Day fans can expect the finest production money can buy.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, 27th September
