Parquet Courts Stream New Album ‘Content Nausea’

It might seem that Parquet Courts just released their third album 'Sunbathing Animal' about a month or two ago but they are sharing their fourth album ‘Content Nausea’ via Soundcloud as of today.

Mysteriously they are going under the new moniker of Parkay Quarts, due to a lineup change. It is primarily the work of Andrew Savage and Austin Brown, as regular bassist Sean Yeaton and drummer Max Savage are missing in action. A few friends are special guests on this new recording. Jackie-O Motherfucker’s Jef Brown is on saxophone and Eaters’ Bob Jones plays some fine fiddle. The 'Parkay Quarts' moniker was previously used for last years' 'Tally All the Things That You Broke' EP.

In a very unusual move, they have released a Nancy Sinatra cover of her hit 'These Boots Are Made for Walkin''. We still love Nick Cave's version that he recorded as the Boys Next Door. Let's forget about that embarrassing Jessica Simpson cover.

Parquet Courts completely blew us away at St Jerome's Laneway Festival early this year. Lorde who? They will be returning next year for Golden Plains at Meredith in 7th-9th March 2015. They have just recently announced some 2015 headlining shows:
